Memex ⁽¹⁶⁾

The Memex, short for "memory extender" is a hypothetical device proposed by Vannevar Bush in 1945. It was envisioned as a mechanised system to augment human memory and facilitate information retrieval. The Memex concept predates the internet and is often cited as an early conceptual precursor to the World Wide Web.

Here, the memex provides a comprehensive public collection of personal notes, valuable bookmarks, project logs, a ledger of items, and more. It offers persistence and serves as a tool, functioning as a knowledge base, a logging system, or simply as an opportunity to reflect and spark new ideas.
